Sherbert/Melman had investors for his anime who provided substantial amounts of money, like the guy below at $20,000. He has been accused of misleading investors and possibly committing fraud. Considering he got some transition related surgeries and whatnot after receiving these funds, it's easy to speculate that the money was spent on that instead of the anime. Maybe he figured he'd be more capable of accomplishing his goals and making everything right after overcoming gender dysphoria and realizing his true self. He also ran for office at some point, which isn't exactly cheap either. On the other hand, if he had non-fraudulently wasted all the money because he's stupid and sucks at running a project like making an anime, I wouldn't be terribly surprised. I guess only Sherbert knows what really happened.

This is just kemono. I don't know if it's imitation brand or if he paid some guy in japan to design it for him.
