Not shown is that he would have to switch trains in Kingman (Northern AZ) and Chicago at a minimum, while some of the routes would have a second connection in one of DC, Pennsylvania, or Upstate NY. Tragically, if he weren't he could fly to any number of countries where whores are legal and way cheaper than in the US. Though really if he just dropped his need for his whoring to be validated by being 100% legal he could get all the weird hookers he wanted on fetlife. I'm sure some weird fat BPD lady on there would even want to be fucked by his weird face.

Is he afraid of water though? I could see Greer starting up an international waters brothel by buying a shitty house boat that isn't meant for the open ocean.

The existence of the Farms threads impedes his ability to earn the money to pay the sanctions. So if the judge could just order Null to take down the threads, Russ might be able to pay in, say, 15 years. Maybe a bit later.

I didn't get them at first either. I think you have to watch a couple before they start to grow on you. And the pleasure is less about the content and more about Norm's personality. There's something completely subversive about the contradiction between this totally erudite, scholarly guy pretending to be a blue collar bonehead -- but not in a patronizing, demeaning way, really paying homage to a class of people that used to be the backbone of the country. And it's the complete opposite to most modern comedians. Today, most of them are boneheads who pretend to be intellectuals because they think it lends a gravitas to their jokes that's completely undeserved. Like it gives some weight to their banal mainstream political opinions.

Norm was the exact opposite. He was insightful enough to recognize that the political opinions of comedians were largely worthless, and his job was just to make you laugh. Watching him do those shaggy dog stories on Conan is a real pleasure, because of how he cracks Conan up every time he's on.

He's also unlike most modern comedians insofar as he was prepared to actually risk genuine consequences for his work. So when that big shot executive told him repeatedly to stop telling the OJ jokes or he'd regret it, Norm wasn't phased for a second. He just kept telling the OJ jokes. Most modern comedians would just kiss the corporate ring and keep cashing the big SNL cheques.

There aren't many as good as Norm. Not now, not ever.
 
Russell, I'm guessing you didn't pay up, and tomorrow Useful_Mistake will update the legal thread with a filing from Hardin saying as much. Here's some legal advice: contact Hardin and offer to let him garnish your wages $50/week to repay his legal costs in return for the case being dropped. It will be much less painful than the alternative. Null will collect what you owe, even if he has to put a bounty on your gourd-shaped head, because as a wise man said: it's not about the money, it's about sending a message.

Presumably if he manages to send it via electronic means it could come in later. Wire transfers close right at the end of the business day though.
 
He has until 00:00 PDT, really he could stretch it out to 08:00 on the 20th and just say "oh my oopsy doodles, I did a fucky wucky gosh darned goof yah honah but I paid!" and they'll take it because he's a fucktard pro se litigant.

History tells us Russ won't pay unless the police are sent to his house, which he probably thinks is impossible since he never gave a correct and current address. So if and when the Judge really brings the hammer down and puts a warrant out for Russ, he'll do the Parks and Rec bit "You don't know my name or what I look like, so good luck finding me!"

When he went quiet on the docket for weeks, I suspected he already was
 
So not that this is going to happen but, theoretically, if he put a check in the mail today at a USPS branch and got a postmark of today would that still be considered on time? Is it still technically possible for him to pay?

Theroetically if he goes to the main post office in Las Vegas it's open til 9pm, the court has to honor a post mark from today, so he still has roughly 4 hours

I agree. Russell is an avoider. He puts off facing his problems as long as he can. On top of that, he has learned from experience that he can often ignore others' rules and demands with little consequence. On top of that, I'm certain that Russell really, really does not want to hand over money to the mentally ill criminal stalkers at the neo-Nazi hate site kiwi farms. He has plenty of motivations not to do it.
