roblox has been around for so fucking long that i wouldn't be surprised that it's doing the pokemon thing. When something that you're familiar with and consider harmless changes into something a bit more insidious over time. When i was a kid people beefed on pokemon because it had evolution in it. I distinctly remember playing pokemon silver on an old game boy pocket in the 2000s and i had someone's parents sternly talk to me about the game being full of evil ideas and bad intentions. You learn to think those people are retards.

But now pokemon isn't a franchise of video games with some merch it's merch with some lazy video games to sell microtransactions. I wouldn't let my kids play pokemon even though i played it as a kid. Roblox probably just looks like gmod to an outside observer - how could that possibly be bad?

Chris indeed has had some faults, and some screw ups here and there, but the one thing you cant say about him is that he isn't a dedicated journalist who cares only about the truth. Sounds generic but it is true at least from the man that didn't bounce those checks years ago but he is smart and knows where the money/controversy is. I don't think it will be as big as some people might think it is, but it will maybe be an eye opener for normies that only know a little bit about whats truly going on in Roblox.

Chris Hansen was a talking head. He didn't organize any of the stings, that was other groups that the production company found out about. He ended up being the "face" because he was a good interviewer and he could get Pedos to talk to him even after getting busted. He didn't organize or run anything.

That said:
He aided in the take down of pedophiles. I don't care if he profited from it,or if his actual role was small comparted to the attention he got from it, he helped take down pedophiles full stop.

And if that doesn't work, bring up the fact that avatars like these are allowed to stay up despite multiple reports doing jackshit, and THIS is what kids as young as 4 or 5 have to see in their games.
