The closer you get to Russia, the more scared for your country you become. Reasonably so.

I'm sure I'm coming off as a Russia simp so, for the record: fuck those guys. But there's something to be said for 'know thy enemy' and pretending like Russia isn't enemy #1 is delusional.

China may be spookier than Russia right now but their window to act is closing fast and they can't even take Taiwan, an isolated island that would provide inestimable value for maintaining their seat as something that matters in the long-term. They can't take it because the US won't allow it.

The US didn't want to allow the Ukraine to become contested territory either (very useful as a red-light district, drug hub, and political/military pressure point, both generally and for dignitaries) but Russia tried to reach out and grab it anyway, and it's been surprisingly close despite basically the entire rest of the world staging it as a proxy to fend off the Russkies.

Russia has been cautious in its escalation because many Ukrainians are Russian sympathizers who can't speak up for obvious reasons, and because many people back in homeland Russia are incredibly sympathetic to their Ukrainian neighbors who were still in recent history considered 'Russians'. Thinking this means Russia is toothless would be comparable to complaining that we haven't carpet-bombed Canada because we can't realistically seize Toronto outright.

I've been convinced of the opposite. Russia is barely able to project power beyond its own borders, and the mishandling of this war has weakened Putin domestically and Russia abroad. China, by contrast, has proven itself capable of buying governments, including the entire Democratic Party in the USA.

The problem is that you'll run out of bombs, but they won't run out of gooks.

War doesn't work like RTS games. Morale and internal political conflict matter a whole lot.

The best way to fight Russia (Or China for that matter) is to force them to engage us in such ways that stretch their supply and logistics networks before pummeling them to death. For instance, invade Kamchatka, plant your heels in the snow and very loudly and publicly on the world stage dare the Russians to come and excise us. I doubt they'd be able to. Many would die before ever reaching the front, and those who make it will starve to death once the trains delivering food and fuel stop showing up because we blew them the fuck up.

Supply lines are almost always the deciding factors in wars. If you can't feed and arm your troops, you have no troops.

Name one country besides the US that could even challenge Russia militarily today much less clobber it? Ukraine had the largest military in Europe.
largest does not mean good. IF Russia attacked NATO (which, again, won't happen) NATO would clobber them. NATO air forces are vastly superior. NATO navies are vastly superior. Poles and the Finns would do very well i believe. UK and France are pale shadows of their former selves but there are still elements that are very good. The Germans can fight if they wan't (they don't. They are so cucked i get second hand embarrassment)

The problem the Russians have is that NATO/the west continued improving their military while Russia could not afford too for a good 20 years.

Which is why the Russians won't attack. They are not retards, they know they would not win. They have a need to secure their European border on a defensible terrain feature. They've had this goal for centuries now. that's why they attack Ukraine. Ideally, they'd take the whole country, anchoring the border in the much more defensible. There are mountains to the south and the border with Poland is much shorter than that of Ukraine's border with Russia. Their current border is essentially wide open.

They failed in their initial goal so now they are trying to grind the Ukrainians down enough to (I surmise) anchor their border on the Dnieper.

Oncoming demographics made them make their move now. the coming generations (Russia/ukraine/belarus never recovered from WW2 or the fall of the USSR) are smaller and thus the future Russian army will be smaller. this was their last chance.

The Russians beat their chest with proclamations that they can take all of Europe in a week but in reality they have never been able to do that outside of a short time period in in the 1960s until about 1975.

Look at the current war: It's WW1 style trench warfare with a garnish of drones because neither side has air superiority, artillery advantage or armor advantage. its a mess. A million casualties so far to advance the lines a few meters a day. They CAN win doing this but they won't have an army at the end.

Its American, European and Russian Boomers trying to settle old scores that have not mattered in decades.

I am sorry for my meandering rant.

Right...God needs to act through a fucking double proxy to help his chosen people.

He can't intervene directly.

He can grant Israel som special advantage.

He has to work through people in the US to support his chosen people..
hey now, if we can't trust the theological takes of a blatantly corrupt warmonger who is obviously a closeted faggot, who can we trust?

I'm skipping a lot of posts so it's possible this has been brought up already, but a lot of people (including people in this thread) seem to be missing a greater point in the Trump-Putin meeting.

First off, it was in Alaska. He literally met Putin halfway.

Secondly, and more importantly, it's a signal of a return to a multi-polar world order. The rest of the West was not involved in the decision to hold this meeting. Foreign governments were not consulted, the meeting was not on neutral ground. This ignored everyone else in the world and demonstrated quite vividly that The US and Russia remain the only two true superpowers on the map today.

Thirdly, the meeting became a three-on-three:
  • U.S. side: President Trump, joined by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff
  • Russian side: President Putin, accompanied by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and advisor Yury Ushakov
This turned it from a 'meeting' into a de facto summit.

Trump and Putin rode in the same car.

Trump flew a B-2 Spirit directly over Putin's head.

Any of these facts on their own would be intriguing, but not huge.

All of it together paints a singular picture: the rules of global governance are being rewritten in real-time, and Europe does not have a seat at the table.
It's less that the world is multi-polar and it's more that there's very few countries that are actually sovereign in their own right. You could probably count them on one hand, maybe two if we're being really generous. Europe isn't even really sovereign, they're second-tier parts of the GAE at this point, at best. Our Empire has been run by gay race communist theater kids that have been doing their damnedest to give it all away, which is why the vassals are uppity. The US, Russia, China, maybe India isn't owned but no one gives a fuck about them geopolitically.

Mostly agreed. My point was that this signals a desire to return to that multi-polar framework which basically means the same thing as sovereignty. Europe wants to spread their gay race communism (which, weirdly enough, seems to basically just be Islam) to the entire rest of the world and both the US and Russia are largely saying "fuck that".

The playbook seems to involve seeding total moral corruption (rife prostitution, heavy drug use that isn't policed, mass interbreeding, destruction of Whites while jailing Whites that speak out against it), importing foreigners that further miscegenate the populace, acquiring a Muslim majority, ???, PROFIT!!!

The US has been slowly succumbing to this over time and is finally standing up against it. Russia is fine with the prostitution but everything else is getting cracked down upon hard. This is becoming the battleground for the world moving forward and will probably only be amplified as time goes on.

Or I'm retarded. It's always possible that I'm retarded.

The only nation capable of being a superpower without colonies is the US. The other past superpowers had to have extensive foreign holdings to build out their power. England owned 1/4 of the world and reached it's powers height by using the resources of Africa and Asia. Russia had to conquer and use half of Europe.

The US on the other hand has the best spawn point in the world. the best farmland. the best resources. good weather. incredibly secure terrain. a large population.

the english didn't use resources from colonies to become/remain a global power. the big benefit they got from their colonies was the territory itself - having a network of port cities all across the globe is what enabled their navy to project power to every corner of the world.

You kinda forget that the use is damn near the size of Europe minus Russia.

USA, Germany/France (placed together as the actuating organs of the EU with regards to foreign policy), Russia, Turkey, Iran, India, China, Brazil

Those are my 'sovereign powers' picks, hbu?
