Ah, he's quite interesting. He has a lot of lefty views of course but he's a pro-Bernie 'progressive capitalist' who voted to reduce overseas visa abuse, is anti-monopoly and was against censoring the story about Hunter Biden's laptop. He also has two children of his own. It does align with his prior sensibilities to make Roblox accountable.

If I were being optimistic, he seems a relevantly ideal person to get some bipartisan attention from other lawmakers - that said, as was predictably demonstrated upthread, people might see he's some random Indian and roll their eyes. He reminds me a little too much of Bobby Jindal.
 
I’m not sure if it’s admirable or naive for Schlep to still offer his assistance to Roblox after they just spit in his face like this. His heart’s in the right place, but if Roblox ever reverses their decision it’ll be because of the massive backlash and reputational damage they incurred, not because they suddenly started caring about child safety.

Basically, every single person in Roblox leadership needs to be tossed out and replaced for the company to even have a chance of redeeming itself. This level of negligence can’t be overlooked.

It is a good decision to keep the offer available and be transparent with what his software and scripts did, so that if this is investigated and maybe a competent journalist who understands a bit about IT and coding, it is abundantly clear that not only did he offer to help Roblox, he created a tool to fix the problem himself because they did not do it and he ALWAYS kept the offer open to share his creation not just with the player and server admin community, but with Roblox itself.

If it is clear that he was doing it that way at all times, then Roblox can't do shit to him, and they will hurt themselves in the inevitable class action that will follow if this gets properly investigated.

Admin privileges give free access to unlimited quantities of ERP with minors. They could sell access for a pretty penny.

What this really needs is for FOX News and MSNBC to open their morning show with this and invite the two foremost experts on the matter, Schlep and Ruben Sims, to explain what this is and why parents need to check what their kids are doing.

Protecting children should be a non-partisan issue and old greasy fat meatsacks jacking it to minors on a game marketed to children should be a topic EVERYONE can cover.
