Anyway, the whole Charlie and Vaggie meeting the first time is pure plot convenience. Charlie just happened to go down a specific alleyway right after an extermination, happen to find Vaggie, and decided to take care of her. I think this would have actually worked if they had established that this is something that Charlie did after every extermination. But we see that not being the case in the very first episode. Also add another point for "love at first sight" trope, even though Vaggie should at the very least be wary of Charlie; not fucking smiling at her.

I find it hard to believe that not a single one tried fighting back against an Exorcist prior to Carmilla, let alone going for the kill. Especially since the writers also want it have it where the Exorcists are inexperienced fighters, so when the main cast battle them in the finale, they have it relatively easy time until Adam intervened. With movies like A Bug's Life, the idea of ants rallying up against the grasshoppers isn't an immediate thought because of the face value fact that one grasshopper can beat one ant. and the ants have families to worry about. Hell's full of criminals and fiends, they got nothing to lose. If you replace that child Sinner that Vaggie spared with a demon roughly the same, if not greater height than her, are you seriously saying they're still gonna whimper like a bitch and plead for mercy instead of trying whatever they can to snuff her before she does first?

We don't even have a clear date on when the exterminations started. We don't know if it was before Charlie was born or after. I could imagine Sinners fighting back at the start, but realizing that their weapons did nothing against Exorcists they stopped. And the ones who do have angelic weapons aren't willing to go out and take a whack at it is because even if they manage to kill one exorcist they'll just be killed by another. My go to theory before was that Sinners weren't willing to team up and worked together to go against the exorcists.

Though, the idea that the demons nor angels knew until after an angel got killed that angels could be harmed by their own weapons is stupid (especially the angels because Vaggie is right there). It's also stupid that there were five other exorcists that were surrounding Carmilla when she killed an exorcist and they did...absolutely nothing. I could understand them not attacking her because they were caught off guard and didn't want to also be killed, but them not telling Adam the description of the person who killed the exorcist is really dumb. Especially because angels have access to a floating magic ball that shows they what is going on in Hell.
