Allegedly.
Yeah, that was the point of the rest of my post. Perhaps I laid on sarcasm a bit too thick.
That was my point. I think the Matt/Trey of 20 years ago would not have played softball with modern Gender theory (were it as prevalent then as today), which is both far more endemic and destructive now than Scientology (which they jumped right into the line of fire to rightfully expose) ever was. It's the exact thing South Park would have been, and should currently be, tearing to shreds.
But, they're washed up cuckolds that lack the spine to dare to cast any meaningful indictments against modern culture/society anymore. Hence why their BRAVE and STUNNING social commentary currently making the rounds is as utterly devoid of substance as it is, to very literally be "Small dick!" and "Das rayciss!".
Perhaps the bigger shame, than that they knew they had nothing to say yet opened their mouths anyway, is the wider discourse of their empty words being latched onto and making the rounds as it has. It's the exact sort of thing it was a mouthpiece against. South Park is now what South Park 20 years ago was mocking. And so perhaps; South Park has fallen, billions must cancel their streaming subscriptions.
Or maybe I've totally misinterpreted South Park to be the cultural iconoclast as it seems to be to me. I dunno, I've only ever watched like 10 episodes of it.
