Acting as a fire scout and fighting (wild)fires are part of the duties of a forestry technician (nice job going for the own over providing any kind of a definition btw). According to one of the comments in this post, "In the federal world that means you are a firefighter, they just say forest tech so they get away from paying you more." (or "get away with paying you less").

Yeah I guess I come from a fire background so when I hear forest tech in feds it makes me think fire.

And yeah I mean a tech is just directed by the foresters. Most of the time it seems like techs do the jobs the foresters don’t want to do or don’t have time to do. At least that was the culture in my past office. I’m a forester now in the feds and I’m 50/50 in the office and in the field.

This lines up more with what Jon did, Jon was basically part of a retard/convict jobs program and was there to do the grunt work. He definitely helped with the Oregon wildfires because he worked for the US Forest Service but he's about as much of a "firefighter" as anyone else who helped. I wonder why Jon left because that kind of job is perfect for a guy like him.

As far as I know it led to an actual job but it's been so long. Someone found what it was after season 1 and that's what I'm vaguely recalling. I don't think it matters that much, Jon oversells what he did that's all it amounts to.

After Mac/Gavin released all three documentary, Jon and co quickly did damage control by doing twitter spaces, demanding Mac to go in there and be dogpilled by Jon and his league of tards. Luckily, Mac compiled all of the point Jon and his friend denied and their blunders into videos so we can all see how dumb they are handling all of this.

Van also did an interview with Skippy, attempting to clear their organization name. It went as well as how a "zombie" would've handle it.

He deleted a message mentioning that he felt sorry for what he did. Luckily, I was able to screencap it. I have no idea who he was referring to here, but I think it might be Hadesmoon trying to repair his friendship with Mac using Jon's xitter account.

He also mentioned about wanting to go to El Estanque but got blackballed by Jet. I doubt Jet would do that though since Burt got forgiven even when he's been saying much worse shit about Jet and Sam.
