This still reeks of damage control on PayPal's behalf. Unless of cource Arch got framed for something like Cheese Pizza possession and PayPal used that bogus crime accusation as an excuse to close his account.

Definitely not surprising at all, given how Riot Games has just as totalitarian control of their E-Sports scene like how the CCP does with their people. Riot also loves to swing the ban hammer to "set an example" to other players and viewers, and forces their players to install the spyware they call an "anti-cheat" in Vanguard, in order to play their games.

This whole anti credit card company thing is just an attempt to get people to subscribe to their substack after getting canned by Vice.
Valens would advocate for you or me being debanked the second they thought it was safe to do so. They'd also probably be fine with worse.
