In my experience as a native who still somehow hasn't fucked off to Germany to become a gastarbeiter yet, most Balkaners are definitely white trash (vulgar, lots of banter, drinking and nationalist/conservative values minus the incest) unless they come from the capital or some large city where they fall into a more leftie/SJW mindset. They also keep to their rural roots, as it's not uncommon to have close family living in some small village in bum fuck nowhere. Religion is also highly respected as it's deeply engrained in the culture and family values are strong since that's your biggest lifeline in this shithole. You can't expect the gov to be there for you if things go south. (You don't get neetbux if you're autistic it's off to the raspberry fields for you retard)

Not an American so I'm definitely not as involved with the South apart from stereotypes but I can see it, maybe it's the environment that's similar since to my knowledge most Southerners come from the countryside and the Balkans themselves are still largely undeveloped apart from the few big cities that get the most attention. The Balkans in general have a very bloody history so it's no wonder that culturally we're close to hicks and tend to be rough around the edges (though still very hospitable) as we didn't really get the chance to develop much before things went to shit again.
