Hard disagree, on multiple counts:
- He is hyper aware of what everyone else thinks of it, and his every action revolves around manipulating how other people see him. What other people might be thinking consumes him.
- His main drive is always his ego, all the exploitation and manipulation is downstream from there. He lies to get admiration first and foremost, and will occasionally forego material personal gain for admiration and status. His ego is fragile and when it's threatened he reacts impulsively.
- He does have emotions, they're all disgusting and ugly self-serving emotions, but he has them, he is hyper aware of them, and he is a slave to them.
- Real psychopathy is incredibly rare, I don't think he exhibits the secondary traits at all, and it is more likely to correlate with low IQ (okay well we saw his code). Psychopaths are not like Dexter or Hannibal Lecter, they are not calculating and strategic, even though they can lie quickly and easily. NPD on the other hand is really common, and I believe there is something in the way the internet works that it amplifies these traits.
- e.g. a psychopath rapes because it feels nice on his cock and he doesn't care about anything else, a narcissist rapes because the rejection is a mortal emotional wound and he deludes himself into thinking the other person truly wants or owes him sex. A psychopath would've just raped the bitch (forceful penetration) and laughed about it. Awkward dry humping with questionable consent and then haggling about what really happened is somewhere between pubescent and NPD behavior.
- Psychopaths do not have "charming personalities". Never had, never will. They can and will use situational manipulation tactics effectively, but holding a real conversation with a psychopath for longer than 30 seconds makes you want to off yourself to escape the conversation. A psychopath is charming in the way that they e.g. will tell you their grandmother died a violent death five minutes ago so you feel sorry for them and give them a store coupon. The only people charmed by psychopaths are BPD women and homosexuals.
