It was also in Maryland where two children were nearly taken away from their parents because they walked home from a nearby playground all by themselves. They must have some skewed priorities as to what counts as child abuse/neglect there.

One of the videos, they're all ganging up on him. The "prank" is that they're sending him away. It's obvious Cody knows it's not real; he just wants it to end.

At one point, the mother says: "I hope you get picked up by the Craigslist Killer."

I gasped.

Cody, like a normal human being, tries to plug up his ears and block them out. He is subsequently threatened with grounding.

I just can't anymore. The video is called "Finding Cody a New Home." I'll upload what I can. I'm crying my fucking eyes out.

I want to adopt Cody. I hate kids, but I want to rescue Cody so badly.

OK it's time for child psych sperging.

ODD doesn't just manifest out of nowhere. Here's a light source on children's responses to extreme abuse, which covers the defenses they develop in response. ODD would come out of fighting (as in "fight or flight") and is described as a narcissistic defense -- which isn't a great description, but mostly the child focuses on protecting themselves, which can often turn destructive.

The good news is that Cody knows to remove himself from the situation so he can calm down, which is an impressive level of emotional maturity for a young child. The bad news is that his piece of shit parents don't leave him alone when he tries this.

If untreated or mishandled, ODD can turn into Conduct Disorder in the early teens. A diagnosis of CD before age 15 is one of the pre-requisites for Antisocial Personality Disorder.

They're not raising Cody to be a school shooter. They're raising Cody to be completely unable to relate to or empathize with other people, unable to deal with his own feelings in a healthy way, and unable to form meaningful relationships with others.
 
They're trying to damage control,trying to look like they are the victims because they didnt think the shit was going to backfire and gain widespread attention.Their asses is on multiple news site,big youtube channel and now the real mother of his kids is giving interviews.

That hug is probably the most affection Cody has received in the past 2 years he's been with these people. And it's because he's supposed to make Heather feel better. No one hugs him when he cries.
