Okay this shit is absolutely a Pirate Software goon. I don't think it's Mald himself, because you have to put a name down to make an accusation like this I assume, and Mald's been good at being just hidden enough to make his capos doing work for him look plausible.
Their accusation is genuinely based entirely on the belief that no one would ever do something like this uncompensated so therefore you have undisclosed paychecks coming in. Lmao. With no proof whatsoever.

It should be mentioned that Theo is extremely pro-AI and (presumably) AI coding, and is currently trying to make the world's best AI chat server, or whatever it is.
Maybe i'm blazing rainbow optimistic on this, but I think AI is (eventually) going to get good enough to replace every human job. Everything we've seen from the best thing out there is a prototype. In four years, this shit has gone from cave scratchings to art student's 201 class in the field of ai art alone. But forget creativity fields because people get mad about that. productivity fields? AI is gonna crush this in maybe three to five years.

Is not paranoia if they are out to get you!
The EU side of things is getting thrown some legal bullshit it in an attempt to kill it.

It seems the corpo is indeed afraid.
its afraid, and throwing out the most ineffectual arguments trying to get out of it.

Its strangely akin to those chris hansen to catch a predator deals. They know they are fucked, they know these arguments won't do shit, they know they have no defense, but they aren't going to just take the L lying down.

If this got to be revealed to be khronos this would be the funniest shit ever, since he supposedly donated 500$ worth of bits "just because" he felt like supporting his employer.

I might be just imagining things, but Ross looks a lot better in this video, beaming like a full moon almost.

And this one is just a reocuonstruction of the Shroud of Turin.

Naw, the argument is too plausible and coherent for coming from a pirate goon.

That's not what's happening. They aren't saying he's getting paid, they're saying he's providing volunteer work of "professional value" and he should have to disclose it. The professional rate they mentioned is how much they imagine his free "professional work" to be worth. None of it is true but it won't stop a bunch of retards from saying "isn't that the guy who broke campaign laws?".

Oh yeah. Remember, Ross has been worried about this since he was a teenager. I was barely born/not even a fetus depending on which year this concern started for him. Having his biggest chance come to life must be exhilarating. I just hope it's not a nothing ever happens once they start debating (or even worse, somehow an absurd amount of signatures have been botted.) Although the second possibility just seems incredibly unlikely.

This is what is confusing me also, if his dad is a well known and like executive, wouldn't it be known how many children he has? The only justification I can make is that the person who probably thought this was low level enough to never directly interact with the man and made the autistic assumption that "Same surname = same family". Coders are not known for their social awareness.
Risk-based assumption. If you assume they're related, and your wrong, then you were just giving them at best slightly favorable treatment on a false assumption. Assume they're not and get it wrong, and you might piss off not one but two people, who have incentive to fuck you over with it - especially if the person with that stick is Mald.

When in doubt, most people take the path of least immediate risk.

Also, normal people show their real face to their friends, manipulative people don't always do this. Jason's friends are likely to be resistant to the facts that have come out against him because "I've seen the real him, he's not like that at all". If they do accept it, they probably still want the best for him and don't want to dogpile with the mean-spirited mob. They would basically need to feel personally betrayed to come out publicly against him.
And his friends are already going to be filtered to the weak willed, ignorant and easily used. Anyone with the ability to form their own opinions and stand beside those beliefs is almost certainly going to bounce themselves out of Malds social circles when they catch whiff of his bullshit. The remainder are the petty kinds that'll side with anyone who gives them a feeling of power.

Nah, the current Large Language Models and similar neural nets are already hard capping in capabilities, and there's no real line towards AGI from their tech base. These systems are physically incapable of being hallucination free, and that dice roll occurs on any individual thing they do. Ironically, this makes them suitable to image generation as if they completely shit the bed on 1-5% of the details, then you get a slightly wonky but still pretty good piece of art. But shit the bed on just 1 line of code out of ten thousand, and the entire program fails to compile. Shit the bed on one statement in an entire financial, scientific, or industry analysis, and you're facing massive liability for deceptive statements. This isn't even theoretical, an airline already lost a lawsuit where its chatbot just made up a policy that wasn't real, and they got held responsible for it.

The only places the current tech can be used are places where a high failure rate is acceptable, which is spam, bottom of the barrel automated response systems, and non-commercial use where you don't actually need it to work well, you're just fucking around.

That doesn't mean some completely different line of research can't find a new better path, but the current GPT and family? Not gonna happen.

Every labor job which hasn't already been replaced by robots will never be replaced by robots because it would be way too expensive (and maybe even impossible) to make a fleet of robots that can collectively replace a janitor, or a landscaper, or a plumber. AI will always be bad at precision because of the way it works, and it only appears competent because our standards for things that AI is "good at" are very low. It is very unlikely that any company will use Copilot to develop their website, at most they will hire vibe coders that use Copilot to help them, and the biggest effect is that there will be less job availability in the general software industry because the programmers they hire will be more productive.

Oh, I never meant that there'd be no human hand in the loop, just that a lot of work would get done through AI that's currently being done by humans. One senior AI engineer making sure things stay sane instead of a dozen inept junior engineers.

If this smug son of a bitch just used CoPilot the game would be out by now

D3 had the worst fucking launch of any game I'd ever seen up to that point, and now we know it's at least partially because multiple people had to devote time and resources to wrangling a tard who did no work.

I don't think there's a way to blame the Always Online shit and Real Money Auction House on him, but if I find a way I will.
On Nintendo Switch and PS4/PS5, Diablo 3 can be played offline, as in without a connection to the Internet, so they don't have an excuse for making it always online.

Yes, the thing is that Theo is VERY opinionated about development, he hanging out with a clueless retard like Jason it's what makes it strange.

But yeah, it isn't surprising that he would get along with Jason.
yeah but theo is also a complete fucking faggot who also has not really done anything significant in his career. just some loser ex-twitch employee and now has a shitty chatgpt wrapper to pretend hes in the ai game

Can't even manage that. AI code isn't "Mostly good with rare critical flaws", AI code is pure cargo culting, sub-Pajeet level copypasta code. It genuinely has no idea what its doing. So it can't even replace the junior engineers. I'd take a TCS offshore Indian developer who can barely speak english over CoPilot, and I'm actively chronicling TCS developer fuckups in my company right now at executive behest because they are fucking clowns.

This is something I've posted in other threads, and I'll share it here too. This video is long, but its a good discussion and iteration over something AI made, to user specs, and all the bizarre and unsuitable decisions it made.

Its a long watch, but its worthwhile. If you're not a coder, you'll pick up what's going on well from their reactions and confusion. If you are a coder, you're gonna be laughing.

Have people dug into /r/PirateSoftware much? It's suspiciously astroturfed and full of people who "feel sorry" for the nearly 40 year old man "being bullied" online. I wouldn't be shocked if Jason himself argues with sock accounts on it.

It genuinely has no idea what its doing.
It doesn't need to. As long as the individual using the tool has a grasp of what they're asking it to do and can review the output for errors, it's extremely valuable and speeds up a lot of tedium. As well, if the task is simple enough, some LLMs can output full working code, even when the author knows nothing about the code.

Personal example, I wanted a quick auto-clicker for a browser game I was playing that was giving me hand-strain. Using Claude's help, I was able to generate a fully working program that did exactly what I wanted to using python scripting. I do not know how to code. I could not even begin to write working code on my own. But Claude made me a working auto-clicker, with my only input being "I want it to do XYZ at W rate of speed". For fairness's sake I did run into a lot of errors and roadblocks, but it was also able to self-solve errors when they were pointed out in most cases, though I did have to work around dead-ends.

Another example, I used Copilot to correct some broken code in an application I downloaded that fixed an error that impeded its ability to function.

I'm not code man and you most likely have more experience with how it can go wrong in a professional setting of course, but in my layman's experience I have been extremely pleased with its abilities.

Not that I know of but it's going to be a highly moderated space that curates ass kissing. Genuine discussion is not going to happen there. It's not just Reddit... it's a Mald subreddit. The worst of both worlds.

No doubt, the volume of deleted posts on there is absurdly high.
I've just never seen it discussed much in posts shitting on the retard when it's a strong reflection of how fragile his ego is.
