The teachers themselves are a big part of the problem. Too many of them have this self-fellating image of themselves as brave world changing difference makers. Way too many of them see their jobs as a way to preach their sociopolitical dogma instead of actually giving their students an education. Bringing back corporal punishment, or really any kind of disciplinary action, really isn't going to fix that. As it currently stands, if it became socially acceptable for teachers to hit kids again, they'd just start hitting them for not being trans.
It was well understood by anyone with a modicum of intelligence that the phrase "lock her up" was a declaration that Clinton's corruption and crookedness made her unfit for office. It was not a clear declaration that she would be prosecuted and put in prison.
