Yeah, I don't like this new view of "baby your kids until they hit 18". In my view that's neglect. You want them to leave not knowing how to properly do basic tasks? I got more and more responsibility as I got older. This is why there are grown adults who don't know how to sweep. You want your kid to burn their food when they're out on their own instead of in your kitchen?

The whole "Omg parents are mean for kicking their kids out at 18!" discourse is annoying because it simply isn't true. Are there SOME parents out there that do this? Sure... but the average parent isn't doing that, especially not these days in this garbage economy. Hell, lots of people under 40 are moving back in with their parents just to save money.

The current economy is trash and rent is insane. I do not blame anyone for moving back in with their parents or parents moving in with their children to save money.

But anyway, this wasn't my point. My point was, Ellen is complaining about something that isn't even a real issue. Your average Western parent isn't giving their kid the boot the moment they turn 18 or expecting them to pay rent. That's one of the many myths redditors keep repeating.

You have to admit, the whole character arc from that reclusive Japanese-American artist, starting from R-rated "Calvin and Hobbes" inspired comics, to old school TERF feminist for a spell, and then slowly moving rightward out into Varg Vikernes territory has got to be one of the most under-discussed topics in webcomics.
 
It might not be jeets though. Cause in the India Menace thread, there's several mentions of women getting groped by Jeets in Canuckland, and Ellen would've mentioned that by now (just not naming the Jeet and being broad by saying Men).

Conservatives A surprising amount of Canadians in Canada, including other Indians, are currently extremely anti-Jeet due to them flooding the entry-level job market with subpar work, stinking up the place, and being massive pervs. Ellen probably doesn't want to do so in case she gets called racist, or worse, conservative-aligned.

My thought is that it is a very retarded “How do you do fellow kids” by thinking kids should just do as little as possible while at home. She’s totally a cool mom, guys. All those photos of her spread eagle prove it!
