I can't speak for eastern Europe (aren't they known for sex trafficking?), but it isn't true for LATAM. On the topic of Youtube. I try to protect my privacy as much as possible so what I see in my recommendations is pretty generic and I'm wondering if I'm the only one who's noticed this. If my watching session happens to be focusing on an interest that's male dominated, a large proportion of the videos in my reccomendations are red pill content slop reaction channels and videos pertaining to said interest come secondary (tertiary if I count the right leaning sensationalist news channels). On the other hand, if it's a female dominated hobby, the recommended videos tend to be a lot more balanced. There's a mixture of the red pill slop, libfem slop, and news slop from both aisles of politics. All slop mind you, but there's less of a bias towards one particular faction. I won't get into the nitty gritty of the pitfalls of algorithmic recommendations because that's nothing new. What I DO find interesting is how on the female side the recommendations are much more varied. Another being woman-hating content seemingly pushed over right leaning topics that are of interest to women such as anti-trannyism and anti-immigrantion. It's defnitely something that's made me go hmmm, especially considering how jeetified google is.
