There are plenty of options. For example, Trump could ask Vance to call the Senate into recess, then he could perform recess appointments. Someone like Matt Gaetz, Stephen Miller, etc. who wouldn't get out of committee under normal circumstances, but if they were confirming him after a recess appointment they don't have voters demanding they grandstand and can just do a procedural vote.
