The conspiracy minded part of me is wondering if Anus and husband packing up and leaving for Canada is done to try and avoid any sort of potential legal fallout from all this.
Don't think it'd help any, Ian's business is still gonna be incorporated in the US, owns his channel legally in the US, his bank and assets are gonna be in the US. Any lawsuit is gonna take place in US courts and go after his US assets still. Atop of that, Canadian court will usually recognize US debts - not worth it for a small amount, but if you have an entire event you killed, the judgement on that is going to be brutal. Taking that debt over to be recognized in Canada is only tedious, not difficult.
He really can't escape this, even if he wanted to. They'll liquidate anything he has left in the US, garnish the youtube, and if that's not enough, they can go after what he moved over the border.
I still have a mental block up on who this "Dad" guy even is. I'm vaguely aware he's on youtube but no version of the algorithm, personal, work, normie profile or guest has ever recommended him to me despite consuming all sorts of kino slop surrounding the Jomhas or their events. I do have "Good Guy Shoes" from froggy fresh on my ad hoc mix Playlist now though.
He was a pretty ok actor who had some high profile commercials, some low profile comedy show roles, nothing too crazy, and then he did pretty well on youtube and gaming media sites for a while with his Keith Apicary character - He played up the looking like an odd balding guy, then would bust out some actually pretty impressive physical comedy and dancing, had a
few songs that went fairly viral by the standards of their day.
But that was over a decade ago. In the last ten years, he mostly just tried repeating the same things over and over again, with very poor results. He never really saw any success trying to adapt, and various elements of what made him successful were taken to much farther extremes by other creators - we've now got far better creeps, people who embarrass themselves far harder, people who are much more talented dancers and comedians, etc. Really not anything special to recommend about him now.
