H-2A and H-2B visas are a thing, anon. They allow US businesses to legally hire foreign workers to fill staffing gaps in low-skilled industries like produce picking and handling and housekeeping/janitorial work.
Of course, these workers then have to be paid and treated the same as a US worker, which is why businesses go for illegals instead- because they can be paid badly and treated like shit. And in doing so these illegals lower the compensation and just treatment of all other workers in their industry.
Say it with me- if you love illegals, you hate US workers.

Do you know what automation is? Many of the slave labor jobs are being converted to automated procedures. For jobs like hotel staff... Well I guess they just get to pay an american a bit more money.
 
They got the votes finally — 219 to 213. Moving right along. They just now started the one damn hour of debate on the BBB as amended by the Senate. It’s 3:30 AM in the Capitol, wheeeee.

ETA: Johnson sitting in the front row like the bride’s dad holding the shotgun at a shotgun wedding, making sure the Rs follow through.

You're stupid if you honestly believe Americans aren't already doing those jobs. When the chicken plants near me lost over half of their work force thanks to ICE there was a line of whites, Blacks, and Vietnamese ready to take their place two days later. Hell one of my sisters even got a job there.

It went through a major overhaul, too. The first version of it was a nightmare and rightfully scared the hell out of boomers who relied on or planned to rely on Medicare as they were promised.

They turned that fear into action with the Tea Party, which died a quiet, undignified death at the hands of Lois Lerner later on by unfairly taxing them to death.

That was most of Obama’s 1st term, he blew through so much political capital just to pass a castrated version of a bill he wanted. Then he just sat on his ass for 6 years after as a lame duck. Very weird decision on his part
