I doubt any e-celeb that brings up swattings/govt. visitations in the midst of severe backlash. There's no reason you should ever mention those publicly while the fire's hot because that just encourages malicious actors to keep going. I also doubt him because he's a massive narcissist who hates that he doesn't have control over his public image anymore, and I'm more inclined to believe he's lashing out to regain control in anyway possible rather than animal control + SWAT + wellness check all in one week since the movement started picking up steam.

I am bringing nothing to the thread, however, I would like to chip in that SKG can perhaps re-establish internet third-place for kids again.

The childhood I knew was basically internet-rotted socialization, but in a good way. We are talking Club Penguin, Toontown, Neopets, Runescape, and many more. It was a great platform for kids without much access to touch grass to give at least a safe place to socialize with friends, and right now, we are currently running out of it. Yes, we have Roblox, yes we have Fortnight, Minecraft, VRchat, but when was the last time a social platform specifically for kids without server owner splintership happen?

There is a lot of passionate fans out there still try to revive their old kid MMORPG game. Club Penguin rewritten, Toontown revival, and i was sure that Animal Jam has a sequel before it got shut down and irreversibly lost. The passing of SKG would also ease these passionate fans to foster a place for kids to play in, or maybe just for nostalgia factor. If the game dies, it is up for the fans to pull the plug. Saves money for original developers too who still need to host an obscure MMORPG in their mother's basement. I await the day when MMORPGs reach their end of the life and their tools were passed down.

I'm going to be real, every time a "private server but for kid's game" has been tried, it's been a fucking disaster. Even if the host has the best of intentions, there's always going to be creeps sliding in. Hell, this happened with one of the club penguin reboots iirc, it was pretty unmoderated so it became a pretty dangerous place for kids. Hell, even when you have these massive companies hosting games like those, they STILL end up having to deal with groomers trying to get children into off-platform chats, and that's with 24/7 paid moderators.
As much as I'd like for a return to stuff like that, I just don't think it's possible. Since computing has become geared towards the lowest common denominator, any child is able to understand how to download some shit like discord.

When this thread started a year ago and the biggest concern was the occasional guy claiming to know Mald back in the day with no substantiation, I could never have imagined that Jason would be burning down like this. Feels good, he deserves it.

I thought so. I am more shocked that he did not realise that steam reviews are public and his lie could be shot down in 5 mins of looking.
When you are that arrogant to think you can say shit and not get fact checked, especially when you are a current object of infamy.
If he had any sense he would remove that part about review bombing. It is such an easy win for people who hate him.
