It is my Great Honor to announce that I have just made a Trade Deal with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam after speaking with To Lam, the Highly Respected General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam. It will be a Great Deal of Cooperation between our two Countries. The Terms are that Vietnam will pay the United States a 20% Tariff on any and all goods sent into our Territory, and a 40% Tariff on any Transshipping. In return, Vietnam will do something that they have never done before, give the United States of America TOTAL ACCESS to their Markets for Trade. Well yes, but how do you repossess $500,000 in student loan debt?

More importantly, why are these colleges allowed to set the prices? It should be like any other Government grant, i.e., medicaid/medicare/whatnot: The government should declare how much a given degree is worth, and the college can either choose to accept student loans and agree to charge that much, or reject student loans entirely and charge whatever they want. They'd lose their SHIT over that becuase administration fees have increased what, 1500% in the past decade or two? All because of guaranteed loans that can't be discharged + the fact that EVERYONE needs a degree because we're not allowed to test for competency (because niggers and women are stupid and fail and the only reason that can happen is racism and sexism). To say nothing about Student Loan fraud (which is rampant).

While we're at it, why are we giving this money to students? Students are fucking idiots thanks to College being effectively a day care for young adults to waste their most fertile years. They piss away the money on shit like "oh I need a car and a fancy apartment, I can't live in the dorms." The money should go into a grant and be paid directly to the colleges for specific agreed upon bills, the students themselves should never see any of it.

You can take out loans for a full year, sign up for 1-2 online classes, be classified as a student and start businesses.

This is super common in California community colleges, although the “businesses” are probably drugs.

In 2021, the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office reported that about 20% of college applicants were likely fake. In January 2024, the state said it was up to about 25%.

You see, there's no real auditing to student loans. So as long as you maintain the minimum class requirement to be classified as a student, it doesn't really matter what you do with the rest of the money

Slight powerlevel but as someone who works in higher ed this is largely correct. There is virtually no auditing being done outside of "Well is the student enrolled?". Most schools will push through anything as long as it does not break fed regs, because there is simply no incentive on either side to call foul. The schools can charge whatever because they know students can get insane loans at virtually no risk. Its a dumb system
