I will not forget this. Buncha traitorous cretins.
“Sorry citizen! We were originally planning to cover that cut with the tax on remittances but that didn’t work out and well… We need a way to pay for the cost overruns on that new ICBM program! But hey, it’s hundreds of billions WELL SPENT!”

(Note the classic Pentagon hustle. First it’s “Oh yeah! No worries, it’ll be 100 billion dollar MAX! We will reuse the silos and save a bunch!” And then, once the initial outlay has been approved and the sunk cost fallacy established, only then do they go: “Heh, guess what… Good news and bad news! The bad news is that the new ICBMs will be cost twice as much. The GOOD news is that it happened in a funny way! Turns out we need new silos! Oopsies! Silly us, right?!”

It's amazing SJWs think there's "solidarity" between them and all the "marginalized groups" of this world, when in reality Islam is far more oppressive of women and LGBTQ++.
When Al Qaeda wanted to attack America they attacked DC and NYC. So remember rich elite liberals, when they say they hate America they mean YOU IN PARTICULAR more than Cletus in the trailer park with his confederate flag.

Nope!

Max deduction on overtime will be 12.500$ and max deduction for tips will be 25.000$.
Assuming you're using . to indicate thousands that's actually not horrible. Anybody who works for tips isn't going to make enough to get close to that limit... unless maybe they're in san fransisco and if they're suffering that's an added bonus in my view.

12k for overtime is a bit low but not that relevant. Most massive earners are on salary.

Oh please.

It was “NO TAX ON TIPS” not “No tax on SOME tips. Stop trying to excuse RINOs cucking out.

“Heh, I know we aimed for 10% tax on remittances, but guise… A symbolic 1% tax is kind of a win!”

Besides, if you’re a waitress working full time, those $25K will be half your yearly income real quick.

In 2023 the average income of a waitress was like $36.000.

I know waitresses pulling down way more than $50k a year on tips. The funny thing is, they don't report any of it, so what are you suppose to do, take the deduction but key off the govt that you've probably got a lot more you're not reporting? Seems stupid.

I haven't read the bill myself but this isn't how deduction caps work, although it also begs the question: Does this mean you can't take the standard deduction and what order are they applied in? Somebody making 50k a year who takes the standard deduction is going to owe maybe 5k at the most, if the first 25k is a 100% writeoff it's like they're paying taxes on 25k in actual earnings, if the standard deduction applies to that it's 10k which means they would owe a few hundred for an entire year on 50k in earnings.

I also wonder if this is supposed to fix the problem of people who do this getting fucked on credit approval. If they lie to the gov they have to lie to the bank as well. The entire tip system is so retarded.

Hearing the bill is getting gutted is depressing. Can we talk about gardening instead? Like how you can replace old crops with spent lifespans with new ones. By planting more of the same or different ones you can extend the harvest period, this is called succession planting.

Is this a dude or a chick?
I like Trump making noise about Netanyahu having his investigations dropped. The only way I could like it more is if he says:

"They interfere with our politics so I can interfere with theirs."
Helping that isreali is of no benefit to us.He seems to look for war specifically cause his polls numbers are actually terrible and he's supposed to have been BTFO at this point.
The historic Coney Island Beach in NYC looks like a third-world country. It has turned into a total shithole. Just wait until Mamdani becomes Mayor. Xeet

I want my country back...
This actually makes me sad, despite not liking new york all that much.
It was a holdover policy from Trudeau that even joe biden was mad about. Before this even passed, they were warned by the premiers, and experts that this DST was a bad idea and should've never been implemented. They went forward on it anyways. this DST revocation isn't just a win for Trump and tech giants, but also a win for the Canadian people, too. nobody except the liberal party wanted this tax, so it made no sense to go forward with it.
I dont know to much about Canadian politics, but aren't the ottowans actively blocking pipe lines from being built in alberta? I've seen a bunch of Albertan libertarian/Right wing types whine about it, and say they want to secede or some shit.

I didn't even think about the standard deduction. Good point. Props to @Fapcop for putting up the avg salary. I couldn't find it.

I wonder how it'll affect couples. I know at least 1 couple who prob each make $60k or $70k a piece. Standard deduction is what, $30k? There's no way they're going to give a fuck about "some" tips being exempt now. They report very little and live modestly.
