Is Viv...advocating for children in adult spaces? We know she's "SO AGAINST IT" on her twitter but from an outside POV looking in,..

oof. Not the best look, honey.
Tbh it wasn't a good look when she Defended Raph2 being sexual towads a minor so it's not new behavior.

She's the boss. She should really be restricting this to 18+ and very firmly disallowing people who bring in minors with a stern, hard "no."

Strange for someone who is supposedly aligning with the female empowerment crowd. Being in power requires the ability to say "yes" or "no" and standing your ground.

No wonder she instead made Helluva Boss a drama where Blitzo stays a sex-obsessed freakshow with so many problems instead of acting like an actual boss. I think it's because she herself cannot act like one.
Viv, like Charlie, probably sees using her authority as "mean" and just expects people to do things with no resistance.

⏰?

Either that or this chick is really worried some of these guys will go "Okay, hasta la manana bitch" and will walk on her ass, since they can prob nail themselves jobs in other indie animations or maybe even legit VA work. An if that happens, Viv will need to scramble to find VAs that sound similar to ones that walked.

It was covered on the ViviePop thread, but not here.

I am getting tired of the media literacy crowd that think they are so smart for analyzing real world events to fictional shows. It started with "Simpsons predicted X" and now you stuff like Hazbin and Netflix DMC.

Then you have those missing the forest through the trees like in the chicken flu episode of Boondocks. You got comments saying, "This is just like COVID!" only to miss the important detail of how the government and media will whip people up into a panic over something that is not as deadly as it's made to be.

Could you post a link so I don’t have to scour through pages just to find it?

On one hand I can get that having a creation have an unintentional message could be annoying especially to perception of what you want to create, especially as Vivziepop isn't like Eric Kripke who intentionally makes every character in The Boys stand-ins for real political figures.

On the other hand, Vivzie did not need to overshare this and even then with benefit of the doubt here, wouldn't this make her villain more effective. A lot of good villains can come from some sense of that evil being present in the real world but from what I've noticed, Vivzie wants her villains to be super silly at the same time with no sense of discomfort like with how she wrote Striker and Andre. Its why Vivzie's better villains in her shows are characters that were intentionally meant to not be in angst scenes like Mammon and the DHORKs.

I finally watched a few episodes of HB after reading this thread forever and now I feel qualified enough to share weird fanart with everyone else

Yes, that's a head scar and broken horn. Yes, it means exactly what you think it does.

I won't lie, I still like that Jojo comic where it takes the piss on this premise.

I hate that I instantly understood the reference

Whats the comic referencing? I am legitimately curious at this point.

You know what I find to be really funny? When not only defenders but Viv herself say that you can only truly appreciate and enjoy Helluva Boss when the story is completely finished. Not only is that a weak way to deflect criticism (a bad episode is still a bad episode), but it actually works against Helluva Boss. The show is much worse and the flaws become way more noticeable when you watch the episodes all together. For example, the whole "love" that Stolas and Blitzø feel for each other just come out of complete nowhere all of sudden, and essentially the build up to it is happening in between the break of the first season's episode 6 and episode 7; not in the actual show itself.
