This documentary is probably the best one I’ve seen on the 1st Gulf War. It adds a lot of context to the invasion of Iraq and it manages to paint the 2nd invasion in an even worse light because it’s clear that the top players( Colin Powell, Dick Cheney) knew better than to try regime change in Iraq. They KNEW it would be a disaster in 1991 so what in the hell possessed them to try it in 2003?

All this is to say, I’m not worried about this Iran stuff turning into a ground war because unlike 2023, the current administration seems to have learned from the past. We can hope anyway

I don’t know how to archive so if someone can tell me how I’ll be happy to if it’s needed in this circumstance
Archive.org has it already

>What are we supposed to do, just let Iran bomb our bases in Kuwait and Iraq?
>What are we supposed to do, NOT invade? The regime of Ayatollah needs to be broken!
Ya know, I feel like you might be suggesting that something is going to happen. Surely you wouldn't speak without consulting the graph...

Okay so by those perameters Vietnam, Korea, and the Arab Gulf weren't wars?

And btw, I'm not arguing of being in favor of that lmao, my entire argument is that the definition of a war is arbitrary because depending on who you ask and who's coping you'll get a different answer.
Weren't you the one who said to stop talking about red herrings because someone brought up the Houthi's? Maybe just maybe the situation isn't nearly as black and white as you think it is. Those are wars, but us bombing syria or the houthi's was not, just like how us bombing Iran right now could not be. The difference between me and you faggots is I am willing to admit it CAN lead to war, you're acting like it already HAS because you're being a disingenuous prick. How about we just all admit that right now we are not in a war but it can lead to one and talk about the ODDS of it leading us into one. Because this conversation is not going fucking anywhere, if you end up right down the road then good fucking job but right now you're not, and if I end up right in down the road then good fucking job but right now I'm also not, because the situation is way more delicate than you're giving it credit for. I understand where it CAN lead but I assume it's not going to, you ASSUME it's already at that point when it is not.

This is the worst fucking cope.

"Ha, you took what our leader said at face value? What a fucking idiot. You can't believe anything he says."

Do you realize how fucking retarded you sound?
If we're going to regime change Iran, where's the actual logistic and military build up? We're going to send in boots on the ground using fucking unicorn farts and fairy dust? Trump says maybe Iran should have regime change and that means we're about to do that? Based on what?

We are about to enter another forever war in the Middle East, Trump explicitly called for regime change in Iran on his own fucking social media accounts, and you're fucking telling us to stick our heads in the sand?
We literally can't without all of gen z being drafted. The Army War College put out a white paper at the end of 2023 analyzing the Ukraine/Russia war in the context of America going to war.

There's no way the draft being triggered is gonna fly with the U.S. population considering the state of the country right now. Boots on ground is never gonna happen.

The fact that you think Tough Talk is actual action shows that you get easily confused. You didn't even post any links to it anyways, how the fuck am I supposed to know that its real and not some doctured bullshit to get people all freaked the fuck out?
bombing Iran's nuclear facilities was tough talk also until 24hrs ago when he actually did it. the Israelis have been shifting their language to this being a regime change war over the past week, the neocons who were advocating for a strike on Iran have now started talking about regime changes and now Trump himself, a day after saying this was just a single strike, is now openly posting about regime change.

you can say that's just bluster and saber rattling, but you don't know that to be the case, and if history or even the past week has showed us anything it's that there's a non-zero chance it happens and it's a valid thing to worry about.
