The I don’t get it fatigue. What is Iran’s deal? What is happening? What’s the backstory?

Basically this Shah guy bought F14s from Nixon. They were ferried over and did great. Then the Commies staged a color revolution in Iran and the revolutionaries got a bunch of F14s and AIM-54 Phoenix missiles. They performed well, but the US had to destroy all its f14s to prevent the Iranians from stealing parts. and a bunch of irrelevant stuff happened there and they started trying to halfheartedly build a nuke and lost the oil war to reagan, and are still trying to, but recently the Jews blew up a bunch of their old F14s on the ground and some other irrelevant stuff (some people), so they got butthurt and AI photoshopped a comically oversized crashed F35 to prove they shot one down.
That's pretty much every relevant Iranian event so far, I will keep you guys updated. We don't know how many F14s they have left.

There's two legitimate geopolitical concerns. 1. Iran is a massive state-sponsor of terrorism, if any nuke owning country would give a terrorist organization a nuke, it's the Twelvers in Iran. 2. If Iran gets nukes, then the Saudis will buy nukes. Those are the two legitimate concerns, Iran is not likely to just randomly nuke Europe.
