Really wish people would stop trying to pathologise Nick and his behaviour. Most people that do bad things are just bad people, giving people diagnosis just makes it seem like they're not entirely in control of the their actions when in reality they likely are.

Back in the early days when Rekieta was pretty well-regarded, it always seemed like his job situation didn't quite add up. Small businesses eat up a LOT of time and energy and it was weird that he seemed to have no job-related time constraints at all despite having a large family and a (at the time) small Youtube channel that he spent most nights on.

Having a mental health diagnosis does not exempt one from taking accountability for their own actions. You shouldn't think otherwise.

Being a narcissistic failure of a man does not excuse any of Rekieta's behavior. This framework might help people better understand how Rekieta's mind operates, and that can be helpful in certain ways.

However, the notion that having a psychological or psychiatric diagnosis absolves someone of responsibility for their actions is your own misconception. And frankly, that's quite foolish.

I would say it's quite probable that Rekieta may have Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD), but that does not excuse any of his actions. Nevertheless, armchair psychological diagnoses are worthless — and that should be obvious. If you believe such diagnoses carry any real weight, then the issue lies with you. This is the Internet; people will make psychological assessments out of thin air. You can't control that.
