You keep bringing up the Iliad, but that was only a small portion if the epic cycle. There were many stories told about the trojan war, and Homer was merely one of many to add to that oral tradition. Because greek mythology was a work of the greek PEOPLE and the PEOPLE could shape it how they liked.

Can you add to the superman canon? Can you ungay star wars? Can you stop them from giving snape revitiligo? Of course not. Because they're not true expressions of the western zeitgeist, they're isolated goyslop products owned and controlled by corpos who hate you.
