btw i made my username before my egg cracked.

so my school was doing this challenge for the school year where we were trying to read 25 books. I was able to complete the challenge and everyone who completed got their pictures taken. i went to the place where the group photos were gonna be taken and the majority of the people who were there were women and girls. i haven’t read for fun since and if i do read for fun i genuinely refuse to read anything written at a female perspective, which kinda limits my options sometimes because there’s a lot of female authors.

Er... I'm really hoping that this girl eventually grows out of this because that's a really concerning mindset. Not just because of the misogyny, but because it's a really fast gateway into anti-intellectualism. I don't even think I've known any man who refused to read books because they were written by women.

I'm so glad this trend is finally ending. It's just been kryptonite for girls with NLOG phases who would otherwise grow out of it.

I'm afraid this is Good Art. They mean it as first brick thrown at Stonewall, the false narrative of what happened on Christopher St in 1969. What they've delivered is a painted brick(hon) that very vaguely resembles a thing which it is not.

There is a lot going on with that. Not only is it symbolic of the tranny Stonewall myth, but also for trannies themselves from how there is a presentation to be something it’s not. It looks like a box purse yet is completely useless as one because it’s literally just a painted brick. It’s not even a book club. Just a group of people that decided to read x number of books and most of the ones that signed up happened to be other girls, likely into the same YA stuff? A lot of the situation also screams “not like the other girls” cope. Especially paired with the perler beads post.
