cc1 was a success on paper and michael said that during the actual event he had a lot of fun. theyre good people and they arent tuned into internet drama at all, im sure it was obvious to them that anisa would always be a pain in the ass but michael seemed to still think ian was a pretty nice guy until cc2 was about to go down, the documentary situation began to unravel, the clusterfuck with the gala happened, etc. it was probably by that point that ian and anisa became actively hostile towards them and a threat to their business, so michael just finished the job and cut his losses.
