It would be interesting to find out if there's any case law or legal definitions for how many people there needs to be for there to be a public interest - 10k? 50k? 1M? EWU has a very large audience, do they constitute a sum of the public? Or is it based on locality? isn't the population of Kandiyohi something like 44K people? So wouldn't that mean roughly 40-50K people constitute a public interest?

Nick seems to think there needs to be global mass media discussion for it to be of public interest, but that's just the widest and most convenient definition for him.

I don't think Nick is capable of recognizing motives outside of personal interest. He seems to be unfamiliar with the concept of empathy and that someone may see or hear child abuse and feel bad intrinsically for those children.

So I think he projects motives he seems to understand more onto others like jealousy, or a desire to molest or perv on children.

How would you or I live with it or how does Nick live with it? Nick sucks face with Qayla every change he gets. He would have her lips surgically implanted on his face if he could. Real talk though, I think the real reason Nick has such a hatred for Aaron is that deep down he knows that if Kayla had met both Nick and him during their college days, she would have picked Aaron and never dated skelly. If Kayla didn't have 5 kids with Nick, she probably would have picked Aaron in the break up too. The only way any woman picks Nick over Aaron is if she's hooked on drugs and Nick is supplying her.
