They absolutely do take blood pressure readings at a psychiatrists office. A number of psychiatric medications impact your blood pressure and cannot be prescribed if you are outside a healthy range. I have never heard of a patient not being seen because of blood pressure though, just denied prescriptions.

Reading this suicide letter filled me with rage. This is the last message his family will ever have from him, and it's all self-serving nonsense. Just petty "woe is me" bullshit.
 
I hadn't realised his parent(s) were still alive. What a horrible thing for them to go through. I can't imagine the pain of losing your son, disappointing though he was. At least he won't disappoint them any more.
 
well, that was grim. at least his death serves as a reminder to always fight letting despair and cynicism take root. he was going through a lot of demoralizing shit, even if a lot of it was the consequences of his own mistakes, but in the end he was working against himself, being negative and hateful, lashing out, self-destructing. it kept him from being able to mount an effective resistance against his life problems. take notice, kiwifriends, as this type of shit can happen to anybody, and many of us here - autists drawn to mocking people and commiserating about the world - are already progressing through the stages of it. always look for reasons to stay positive and fight the impulse to see yourself as a victim and isolate.

It's a shame the dog went to animal control and wasn't left with a family member prior to the suicide. Also I was under the impression he shot himself in the courthouse parking lot and not at home?

It's a total nigger move to blame the women in your life and then cry about how "trusting" you are. You withheld a passport and abused women which is why they tried to rape you in court. He couldn't manage his website community properly, so it's no surprise he couldn't manage his personal relationships either. What clumsy, oafish waste of meat.

I still can't believe Zoe Quinn tried to write with him almost right before his suicide.

At the time of his suicide basically everyone hated him, I don't think he had a single friend or ally left.

Yeah that’s what I was trying to say. But again just think how there was a silly blow up because Null removed post reactions from the alert tab. Most of that was overdramatic because it’s funny to make Null annoyed over something superfluous - see users getting mad over “Hollywood Hulk Hogan” handing negative ratings. But no doubt some people were mad.

Now imagine the SA community the youngest users have to be 43. They would get mad over any change no matter how obviously beneficial it would be to the user experience. Old forum posters see their post count at 500,000+ and see it like a badge of honor. Imagine telling them they’re going to be reset to 0.

Anyone who is still on Something Awful wants a shit format. They are the nerds who still play EverQuest and Eve Online. They are grognards.

I think it would be less of an infliction of pain on his family if he'd gone and disappeared himself in a national park instead of emailing his parents before shooting himself in a courthouse parking lot. There would still be the loss but there would be less "Friendly reminder that I, your piece of shit son, am such a noxious individual that I'm negating the life you gave me. I hope this message finds you well"

Lowtax did nothing but arbitrarily ban and re-charge 10 bux for actually talented and funny people to re-register. The 2000's people making photoshops and memes did the work, not a sped picking fights with Uwe Boll. They all moved to 4chan as soon as they could and left the fat trannies to their echo chamber.

If SA somehow didn't exist, those forum members would've met and congregate elsewhere. Maybe the rules of another site would've colored their interactions and community a little bit but that history of internet culture doesn't belong to Mr. Goldbelly, it belongs to people like you and me calling each other niggerfaggots and inviting each other to DMs with 500+ other users because it's absurd.
