The Rekietas were doing K and possibly other hard drugs that would NOT make you hyper and eager to clean the house. K puts you into a fucking stupor on the couch for hours. It's shit and I can't believe that it has become a mainstream party drug so quickly.
I'm on Team Occam's Razor with his drug abuse. I do not think ketamine is explanatory for what looks like the result of a long-term collapse in lifestyle, habits, and manners. He's a disgusting fucking drunk and his wife is on white lady tic tacs (xanax). Those two legal and easily accessed drugs are enough.
If they never railed a single speck of powder, those kids would be living in much worse squalor to this day without anyone else knowing.
You do not need a lot of hard drugs besides booze to become a shitty hoarder and neglect your family and responsibilities to a criminal degree. Nick was messy when he was a straight, then he went on a years-long bender, and I'd argue way more than half of his high comes from chugging whiskey. He fucking has a song about it. The necessary and sufficient conditions to get Rekieta's life this fucked are only legal drugs commonly abused by housewives and voluntary, socially acceptable behavior.
Polydrug addicts have a baseline high they like to build off (t. recovering); their bottom bitch drug. It's usually really cheap (booze, weed, or really good (heroin, fentanyl), and coke was obviously not his bottom bitch. It was the booze. He could literally stop snorting cocaine for a little while, but that little squeaky bitch was always drinking on camera. It's why he's seething perpetually now and trying to kill himself with nitrous. The house is covered in empties more than anything else. I think the paper-wrapped bottles were just like, ghetto beer cozies. The meth pipe was for DMT, since you would want to vaporize it by heating the glass underneath rather than directly flaming it. I'm surprised they didn't smell naptha though, in my experience naptha is the solvent used to extract DMT.
I think his use of psychedelics like DMT and dissociative drugs like ketamine are evidence of him looking for ways to make his baseline high enjoyable or more rich in experience. Dissociation, completely leaving your failing body and life, very attractive for a person that poisoned. The ketamine abuse is downstream from the booze, an accent for drunk, the occasional piece of fruit some fat fuck eats in between pizzas. He ended up in an airtight trap for people with addictive personalities:
he became successful while high, and people paid him to keep doing drugs. Every stream he got a tip and took a drink he was conditioning himself--success, positivity, money, DRINK. His harder drug use came from people paying him real money to get blackout drunk every night. What do drunks with a (temporarily) inexhaustible bankroll do? They escalate the bad decisions. Every fucking time.
