I think it was premeditated to a certain extent. I watched some reaction channel a few days ago and it was pointed out Chantal was in the same park a day or two earlier. I wouldn't doubt she eyed the lookalike Sam kitten then. It makes no sense why they were there a couple days later eating chicken in 112 deg heat and she hurriedly rushes off with the kitten.
Makes me wonder if Chantal had been on their radar for a while—maybe someone tipped them off when she first started asking for money to feed the strays.

Going back and re-watching how the kittenapping unfolded, gunt immediately started begging for money as soon as the kitten came into frame. She then put her pay pal link as quickly as she could. She could smell the money through the greasy smartphone screen. If she is held liable for scamming by Kuwait authorities then there is no talking her way out of this. It was a blatant grift for money using a stray kitten as collateral.

@Sparkletor 2.0 Bruce Lee, his mother and sibling are fine and their bills were paid for. The 3000 KWD is the current bill at the Hope Animal Hospital for other stray cats they have rescued and their medical bills. People have been asking how to donate and they can't accept funds, but people can pay for other cats bills on behalf.
