at this point, i dont even know if he makes it to 50. look at the amount of damage shes done in just over 8 years. at some point, probably in his 40s, hes going to have a moment of clarity looking back on what a pathetic loser hes been since 2020, and have a serious mental crisis, resulting in either roping, or ditching his whole online identity, divorcing her, and starting a new life where he works at a gas station until hes an old, forgotten man. this is assuming she doesnt divorce him first, of course, which would accelerate his mental break. its too late to go back to the old iDubbbz now, the damage has been done.

i think the only way hes saved is if he gets time away from Anisa and takes psychedelics or something. he needs something that will seriously alter his brain chemistry, because in his current SSRI controlled mental state, hes imprisoned. he needs a week away from Anisa, an acid trip, and a woman with value to show him the affection Anisa never did. otherwise, hes finished.

Ian thinks he is enlightened. He's the hero in his own mind because he  lost sacrificed his own success, audience and reputation to kneel before the altar of social justice.
It's a large part of why he resents Ethan so much. Ian prostrates himself before the Mob to atone for his edgelord ways, expecting to be rewarded and revered for his growth.
Which hadn't happened. Meanwhile Ethan is raking in dough, hand over fist, he has a loving wife who actually supports him and contributes financially. 3 children and hasn't suffered as Ian has.

At this point I don’t think there is really any “I can fix him!” for Ian. He’s not just a guy who has been whipped by his girlfriend. Both him and Anissa are genuinely rotten people and if they separate before he dies of IBS-canceraids, he’s not just going to suddenly reverse the years of psychological damage and sociopathic behavior and rebound to be a funny and likable person.

The thing that annoys me about the Yoko Ono comparison is Yoko didn't ruin John's life and she clearly loved him. Where anisa differs is that she takes every opportunity to humiliate Ian.
Also whether you like her or not Yoko had some level of success/notoriety as a performance artist before meeting John. strange performance art yes, but she wasn't advertising herself rating dick pics for $35 a pop.
What I'm getting at is, Anisa fucking wishes she was Yoko and comparing them is a pretty big compliment to Anisa because Yoko's way more respectable.
Also as an aside Yoko Ono didn't break up the beatles. Paul McCartney has said he and john broke the beatles because of creative differences amongst the group. Should be obvious if you compare any of their post-beatles work with eachother and see how vastly different their creative directions were. Anyone who says "nah it was yoko" is fucking retarded.

I do think that the Allen Klein debacle that began after Brian Epstein’s death was the final blow, but the recording sessions went to shit during the White Album, which were the first sessions Yoko was present for.

I do love Yoko’s early musical output, but she has always been an obnoxious cunt and her behaviour, especially in the studio from 1968-1969 is honestly abhorrent. It feels like John used her as a battering ram to destroy the internal vibes of the band, before Yoko there was a strict “no wives/girlfriends allowed in the studio” policy. Paul only says nice things about Yoko now out of respect for John, but no one liked her back in the late 60’s. George especially fucking hated her. (I don’t blame him, she stole his fucking biscuit).

Yoko also got John hooked on heroin, so there’s a similarity with Anisa getting Ian on SSRI’s lol. Yoko is Anisa, just with actual talent.
