I kind of expected this to be fair, considering the amount of money the Balldo Crime Family has and regularly throws around everyone is chomping at the bit to get at least a ladle for themselves from that gravy train, or to protect the ladle they already scooped up.

two theories:
1) it's unrelated. the chance of two things being unrelated---one worth golating about, like the favorable move by the prosecutor, one worth dreading, like pissing hot or divorce or PO troubles or whatever people are theorizing---happening at the same time are i think pretty low.
2) the motion is only a partial win for rekieta. he asked for a mile from the prosecutor and only got an inch. whatever the prosecutor says in that motion is ALL he has on his side to fight against its release (or sue after the fact). so he could be pissed because he asked for an ironclad solution but the prosecutor's amendment is only a half measure that might not work.

The bad news is 100% a separate thing that is far worse than the county trying to block the bodycam footage is good for him

If the news of the bodycam was good enough then he'd be gloating but he's seething

Either he knows the blocking won't do shit and the bodycam is coming out no matter what or the bad news was so catastrophically bad that it ruined what would be a W for him

maybe rekieta is going states witness on his drug supplier. maybe the drug supplier is a big time drug lord in minneapolis. if i were the da, that is the only thing i would want in order to suppress the body cam footage. snitch rekieta.

its that or, like everyone said, it was a request from the sheriff's office.
 
Someone needs to look into this Candy-oh-high County Sheriff who is ignoring a judge's lawful order to release the body cam footage.
This reeks of possibly taking a bribe from mommy and daddy Rekieta, er.. I mean their campaign contribution to get him re-elected.
