It rarely occurs to ask about the concerns of a group one hates. And Democrats do hate men, especially white men. As someone else observed, a lot of white lib boomers went along with that rhetoric for decades because they thought it was all figurative and they thought they were good people for agreeing with it. Well that's another thing, Democrats are married to a lot of pseudoscience (e.g. blank slate theory) which makes it so they can't listen to certain types of concerns because it would cause cognitive dissonance.
