She had the A24 deal during most of the time she was doing Helluva Boss, and I believe the latter was pretty well monetized. So she had an already great paycheck for an indie and was looking at an even better one.

It's very easy to also answer, it's to be quirky and funny without having to actually put in that effort.
They can just put that in and coast off of someone else, because this type of humor is parasitic by making people feel like they accomplished being funny without having to actually be funny.
They are obsessed with it because it's the easiest and most laziest form of comedy, you don't need effort to do it, and still get praise for it while also being #relatable or #quirky
If you seen her show it's also why she relies on swears and yelling so often too.
These are forms of humor that get quick, cheap laughs without having to actually craft something witty or in depth.
It's why jokes she writes this way you don't remember or anyone else, because it doesn't have substance but she can appease her ego because someone chuckled.
Screaming "FUCK," gets a laugh but no one is quoting it because it's just the word fuck some guy is yelling.
Reference humor is the same way.
You can say "this reminds me of the golden girls," and people will laugh because of the situation, but no one is going to quote it because they have no fucking idea what that is.
If they do (also lazy people trying to be funny without actually forming thier own jokes), they tend to look stupid the second someone who does questions the joke on why it's funny especially someone who knows the reference.
It's why her writing is called lazy because most of her jokes are some combination of these lazy forms of comedy.
Tumblr is obsessed with it because many of them including vivi have not grown since thier teenage years and tumblr enables this behavior.
It's the most ego appeasing form of humor as you do nothing and gain all the credit.
It's why this playlist and her show is full of crap like this, so she can appear funnier than she actually is and feed her ego.

Meanwhile Stella is just pure absolute evil completely beyond redemption, "ontologically evil" as they like to say. Also my problem with Stolitz isn't even that they're gay but that the gay entirely took over the show and on top of that Stolas is an abusive narcissist and Blitz gets blamed for it like he's the problem.

The ultimate issue here is fujo subculture.
Forgive my tangent, but I indulged in a deep dive…
No other group manages to be as insanely misogynistic and misandristic as fujos like Viv. For them homosexuality is a masturbatory means to an end, men are feminized and women villainized for not approving of their partner’s gay affairs. Much of their fetish revolves around the ‘drama’ of the gay relationship, affairs, love triangles, all of that stuff AO3 gals are usually into. Almost all of the content they create is either insanely toxic or downright rape-y. But interestingly enough they have a difficult time owning these fetishes, and try to frame the gay relationship into a faux moralistic narrative about ‘oppression’ or some nonsense. It’s also common for them to try to speak on behalf of gay men surrounding their ‘struggles’. This is why Angel’s slavery is wrapped up as an ‘awareness’ narrative, while anyone with a brain can see it’s fujo gooner material.
Fujos also have very strong rejection sensitivity. Perhaps this is because deep down they have a basic understanding of their fetish being unhealthy, so this makes them double down in defensiveness. I’m on the fence as to whether or not people like Viv create shows with the express intention of it being fujo material, or if they simply can’t help themselves and no one is there to tard wrangle them. If it’s the former, I can imagine it’s a tactic to keep people from instantly calling it for what it is and avoiding it, basically just fetishistic bait and switch.
Interestingly enough fujos also seem to hold a significant amount of animosity towards other women who self ship or ship straight couples, while actively seeking out those communities for engagement. I have seen such odd things as death threats for shipping Charlie x Alastor and complete week long meltdowns over hardcore Adam and Alastor waifuists saying ‘yeah, no, we don’t consider you to be a fan of our characters because you post nothing but doujin pages of him being raped’. Why these fujos think these types would want to bump elbows with them is really anyone’s guess. Maybe it’s a wound to the ego because they seem to want validation so badly. Viv herself seems to have some vague beef with the Charlie x Alastor shippers, but admittedly I don’t care enough to do a deep dive into that.
I am only casually interested in this fandom due it reminding me of the Steven Universe fandom, its been my personal cow for about a year as I’ve had to narrow my focus due to a busy schedule, but getting to know fujo shenanigans has been eye opening. It is akin to the yaoi girls back in the day, but much, much more fetishistic and perverse.

I can sort of get the self shippers and straight shippers who aren’t as aggressive (but still abundantly retarded), my first thought was that fujos project themselves onto one of the male parties, and are thus pooner/autoandrophilia adjacent, but I’m honestly stumped.

This point kinda falls flat since
1. Satan allows Stolas to derail the trial in the first place, after being browbeat into letting him in by Vassago, someone that's supposed to be WAY BELOW Satan in rank
and
2. doesn't even end up executing or really punishing anyone besides Stolas, as IMP are... just allowed to keep operating

Yeah if the whole point of the trial was it to be a sham and show the unfairness to the lower class, IMP should have received a punishment no matter what happened. Satan shouldn't have listened to Blitzø's request of sparing the other members, and if you want to show how lenient punishments are to the higher class, still have all of IMP be executed even when Stolas takes the blame. Satan is "the law" as he said.
Granted, we wouldn't have a show if that happened. So how about just have him barring all four imps of being able to go to Earth? He has the power to take away all of Stolas' powers so he could surely override any access to them to enter the human realm. Not only do you have the company IMP having a new conflict they have to face towards the new seasons, you also have a great excuse to stop writing episodes of IMP taking hits on Earth. Because it really seems like Viv doesn't want to focus on the premise of what Helluva Boss was originally supposed to be anymore. Since season three is supposedly more on the ars goetia and their political drama, turn the show's focus on that instead of just never changing and adding things to an already bloated mess.
