Back on April 16th, Jeremy created a GiveSendGo campaign (https://www.givesendgo.com/HelpJacob) for the family of a man that had been assaulted, and eventually died, from a hatchet attack. Jeremy tried his best to frame the incident as racially motivated, as he'd been on his 'Summer 2025 Race War' kick. It didn't catch on, so he quietly gave up trying to promote it after a few days.

The victim's brother reached out on Twitter to Jeremy, trying to point out that there was an existing campaign, and that Jeremy had been ignoring the family's attempts to contact him regarding his fundraiser. Jeremy ignored all of it.

The brother then started going through all of the 'big' accounts that had responded to Jeremy's announcement, trying to direct people to the family's GoFundMe. There were probably upwards of 20-30 tweets of him trying to direct people to the family's already-existing GoFundMe page. I'd bookmarked some of the other tweets a week ago or so, but before I got around to screenshotting things, his account had been suspended. I assume due to the repeated identical messages about the fundraiser. The only one that appears to be archived in some way is one where he directly calls out Jeremy for ignoring the family (https://x.com/lukecouch13/status/1913412307327336455).

On May 1st, two weeks after setting his campaign up, Jeremy updated the GiveSendGo page to claim that he finally made contact with the family. Instead of just giving them the money, he claims that they're setting up a trust for the victim's daughter.

More than a month later, now, and Jeremy's campaign is still live. It's still taking in donations every few days. He's done absolutely nothing to direct people to the campaign that the family set up 10 days before he started his, and there's no sign that he's provided any of the money to the family, yet.

Just imagine having a family member getting murdered, and having to waste time trying to keep tabs on some random internet creep trying to grift off of your family's loss.

Absolutely pathetic behavior, yet completely predictable.

1) I could sort of see a devil's advocate argument that Hambly wanted to setup a backup GiveSendGo crowdfunding campaign because GFM closes right-leaning and non-DEI campaigns all the time capriciously. But you'd still think he'd get permission from the family first.

2) The family's GFM was setup by the sister-in-law of Jacob Couch, Erica Sims of Arab, Alabama (his wife's sister)

3) The OG GFM campaign was horribly written from a narrative perspective. I can barely follow it even partially knowing the details in advance.

4) Ths OG GFM campaign was originally for travel expenses for the wife's sister Eric & possibly his brother Luke to travel to Tucson, AZ to deal with affairs when he was in hospital before his death. I could see how Quarterpounder may have missed the campaign possibly as it wasn't directly to support him or his wife/daughter originally.

5) They surpassed their 25k goal and are currently over 80k. There was a screenshot on archive.is from a month+ ago when it was already at 69k. People are still donating, last only 24 hours ago.

6) They've rewritten the OP for the GFM now that Jacob died. They say the funds are now for travel funds to attend a future AZ trial and funeral costs.

7) The plan to setup a trust for the daughter is mentioned in the new OP, so I wonder if Hambly just lifted that info from there and hasn't been in touch at all.

I suspect it's actually about money. The pod has 4 hosts, only very small alt right sponsors and very meager superchats. That doesn't lead to much revenue per host.

They were filming the pod twice a week in Idaho at another host's house in person. So we are talking about only a 2-3 hour commitment a week and James already wasn't attending half the weekly episodes.

He massively scaled down his plans to rebuild his office/set instead moving to the corner of a small extra room in his house with terrible lighting where he is constantly interrupted by people and dogs during his livestreams instead of the promised larger studio that would have offered a better final product to his fans.
