Russ is such a massive pain in the ass to deal with. He can’t just make a simple appointment and stick to it, he has to try to change the date and then the time of the appointment. Can’t decide if he’ll be there or not. Can’t decide when he’ll send his PowerPoint presentation in, and asks if doing so at the end of the day is okay. Then sends a bunch of emails about irrelevant legal shit that the council has nothing to do with, and finishes up with a legal threat.

Is Ruth a vaguely attractive female, I wonder? Her being female is certainly a big part of the reason why he’s so disrespectful to her, using her first name instead of honorific and surname, and constantly making work for her with issues. How dare a woman not do what he demands?

Then he shambles into the council meeting looking like a homeless hunchback, waving his hands all over and telling the council the property he’d listed on the meeting’s agenda was no longer being looked at. He comes across as a weirdo who just likes the attention of playing businessman and doing council meetings. He certainly doesn’t come across as someone capable, with a well thought-out and concrete business plan.

They’ve labelled him a kook. They’re not wrong.

The penalties for violating N.R.S. 199.300 and unlawfully intimidating a public official or arbitrator will vary depending upon the nature of the threat or intimidation. For a first offense in which the threat involved physical force or the threat of physical force, the crime is considered a Category C felony. A repeat offense involving physical force or the threat of force is a category B felony with a minimum prison term of two years, a maximum prison term of 10 years, and a fine up to $10,000.

If no physical force is used or no threat of physical force is used, then the offense is a gross misdemeanor which means it could be punished by up to a year in county jail and/or a fine up to $2,000.

Cargo Cult Greer at it again. His wild gesticulations in that meeting are even funnier with the sound muted.

He needs to shut his hands up. My paralinguistic senses tell me that he practiced his plea for rezoning as if he was giving a national address.
 
Props to the Winnemucca city council for handling Greer so efficiently. They saw a flailing fool whose plans were falling apart in real time, zeroed in on the question, and dismissed him with "we're fine as we are". (I like the guy on the end who said re-opening on the Gilman lot wouldn't be up to them because it's already zoned, showing that they aren't picking a fight, they're just staying put.)

The Shady Scott owner calls in at 49:09. He says he thought it was a "dead issue" and says he sent Russ an email saying there was zero chance on March 26th. Yet Russ put his property in the powerpoint on May 2nd. I don't know if that counts as fraud, since Russ immediately told the council that property wasn't on the table any more. But it sure as hell shouldn't have been in his pitch deck over a month after getting shot down.

I'm giving my self partial credit on this call. He was aware Russ was interested in brothels, but he clearly wasn't aware his own property would be pitched as a whorehouse for May 6th.

Huber was never listed on the agenda request as someone "who will address the Council". Russ only listed himself, he never expected Huber to show at all.

Typical Russ, lying and pretending he has a bigger team than he does, to make himself look more important.
 
with Greer i feel like its almost not really about the sex, but underneath that, its about how he was born fucked in the face

probably obvious to "greerheads" but i have never really thought much about him except the occasional null coverage.

Oh he did. You have to remember that Russ has a script in his head for things like this. Huber didn't tell him to fuck off, therefore they are now in a business partnership doing business things, like adding WH to LLC.
 
I think that with all the recent revelations about Russell's activities, I can comfortably move him from autistically fixated on brothels into addiction.
No known cure or treatment paths available. Only way out is death. Shame, really. Such a promising young man.
