Is Anisa a US citizen? If not, why not, when she's lived there for so long and she's married to an American?

I believe she still isn't. If she had gone through the process, she surely would have made a big deal out of what a struggle it is for a dark skinned Arabian queen to try to become a U.S citizen. I think she hasn't done it partly out of laziness and partly because she uses not being a U.S citizen as an excuse for not getting a job.
