We can do horrible horrible things for bizarre reasons but we can also come together to create wonders and marvels as well as sacrifice ourselves for the good of others we don't even know. Wide ranging views on the whole species tend to fail due to our individualistic natures.

But honestly I'd much rather live in a Libertarian society then anything the Left thinks up.

I think Libertarians and Communists are just 2 sides of the same coin. Many people in their 20s tend to lean towards one of these ideologies or something equally idealistic and then as they grow up and experience the world they realize that communism leads to starvation and owning nothing and libertarianism leads to the Congo.

I myself was a huge Ron Paul guy and a libertarian decades ago and I get the appeal. I love the idea of personal liberty and freedom but I've since come to realize that there also need to be some guard rails in a society. I don't want to die after I grab lunch somewhere, I want my medicine to work. I want to be able to call emergency services. I'm a fan of roads. As bad as the government is at all of these things, and they sure are, There do have to be rules. Especially in our... diverse... society in America.

I don't want to speak for Null but I always cringe when I see Ralph or some bad actor attacking him for 8chan. There was a time when I would have also said "any art is art" I'm very glad we have 2025 Null and there isn't faux child porn on this website, but I also would have defended him for hosting 8chan 20 years ago, and even today I get it. People change and grow as they understand things and other people better.

When I see a 20 year old Commie or Lolberterian I don't mind, when they're pushing 40 or older, that's pretty sad though.

I completely disagree with this take, at least from a classical economics and classical liberalism perspective. The assumption is that people are bastards, so why do you think giving them even more power over each other is going to work out?

Socialists and Libertarians believe in the fundamentally anti-Christian view that mankind is inherently good. They think there's some way that they can bring about a society that will stop people from sinning.

I was shown a clip of Greg Gutfeld from the other day talking about the White House's covering up Biden's mental health decline starting to be exposed in new books and he's confused why Democrats are acting so mentally ill lately where he said something to the effect of
Why don't the Democrats just say "we covered it up because we thought it was for the greater good that we tell this white lie in order to prevent Trump, whom we considered a threat to Democracy and to be the equivalent to Hitler, from staying in the White House as President." We all know that's the case and what happened and considering the media coverage of Trump it would be understandable that Democrats would feel like they have to do something to prevent any further threats to democracy. They would come off as much more reasonable than the way they are acting today trying to cover everything up."

And this is very true, everyone is aware this is what the Democrats were doing and everyone's trying to pretend it's not the case. Why not just come out and say it? Why are the Dems acting so frantic and like lunatics these days?

The way the Dems are acting today is a lot less confusing when you consider how deep in shit the Democrats are right now. If they were to just come out and say they covered up Biden's mental state to keep Trump out of office, the only logical next question would be about the Democrats rigging the 2020 election with the same motivations, then after that the question of the Democrats covering up Hunter Biden's laptop which has already been confirmed as well, maybe then the question of using corruption in the courts as a political weapon against Trump, then the question of if the Democrats ordered the assassination attempt on Trump last year, and it's already been proven that the attempted assassin was in contact with feds.

The Democrats are dangerously close to all of this coming out on record as facts and then more would probably keep coming out spinning one after another. If that happened they would be guilty of and possibly charged with greater treason than anyone ever has been in the history of the United States. Can you imagine that? Nothing has ever really been comparable in the history of the US and I don't even know what would happen if something like that came out. The Dems have told so many lies through the years, for decades, that's it's gotten to the point that there is no truth left for them anymore. Anything truthful the Dems could possibly say will incriminate them big time so all they have left is lies and it's making them panic which is just raising more questions about their sanity to the eyes of the public.

The really scary thing is that even if all of this comes out about the Democrats and the whole party implodes, anyone that would get charged with any crime and made an example of will be fall guy pawns and stooges and the powers that be would live on waiting to infect it's next popular political movement. Obviously that would most likely be the MAGA movement after Trump is gone. Think of how the leftists hippies are now the very thing they fought and railed against in the 60s, I'm sure if the Democrats completely lose favor with the public or are caught in their crimes that the MAGA movement will be their next target to infiltrate, shape, and mold.

The dems have no one right now. AOC, Shapiro, Whitmer, Walz, Harris, Newsome will not beat Vance. It would be almost impossible to find someone within the next three years, but they could pull something out of their ass, maybe. At this stage, 2028 is the republicans to lose. They have to avoid in fighting. I worry the will have a primary where they rig it to get someone other than Vance to be the candidate, specifically DeSantis or Rubio. I've noticed on SNL they paint Rubio in a very good light. This is strategic. The Dems need some milquetoast nothing to run against because that has worked for them literally every single time in the past. Remember Romney and McCain? No one hated them, no one loved them. They inspired zero passion. Vance inspires passion and passion gets people to the polls.

I believe Trump is holding back on some policies such as mass deportations because it would hit the economy too hard and piss people off. Do the tariffs shit and kick other countries in the ass the first year, let things settle, then kick out the illegals year two and let that settle before 2028.

If I had to put money on it, I'd bet republicans win the next two presidential elections then fuck up 2036 with infighting over who will succeed Vance.

I can understand that. Even though I really don't like the Democratic party it makes me nervous that they're this fucked up right now. It's fine now because there's things the Republicans in power are doing that need to be done but no party stays in power without becoming completely fucked up. As much as I hate to say it, there will come a time when the Democrats will need to get their shit together and I'm not seeing any course correction in the future.

It's okay though, you can laugh even though it's bad. In fact, that's the best time to laugh.
