i thought they just said that in a video with ian framing it as him having hit rock bottom (being wildly respected and wealthy) and anisa doing an ultimatum to save him, which in reality was her ruining his cash cow to appeal to the progressive losers.

I don't think most people here disagree with you necessarily, the thing is most of us reading the thread were at one point Ian fan's, myself included. I think it's just a desire to see Ian return to form and that the old him is in there somewhere. That's why a lot of people are giving him the benefit of the doubt because they see what he used to be and mostly blame Anisa for it.

You're definitely right in the sense that Ian deserves none of that. Anisa is only a conduit for Ian's bad behaviors and Ian deserves as much scrutiny for causing his own downfall by relinquishing any agency from himself onto Anisa. That said, I still feel sympathetic towards Ian. It's hard to see a man so resigned to his fate. To have so readily accepted the worst possible option because he's incapable of making the decision that would lead him towards a better life out of weakness. It's pathetic and it's hard not to feel some kinda empathy for him in that sense.

Ian has certainly been an asshole all his life that became famous for putting others down. But imho that’s not enough to call him a narcissist that’s just being regular asshole. I personally lean to mild autism because he is usually very very awkward when he can’t hide behind heavily edited videos. And he has a track record of copying others wich autists do via masking.

As for Anisa, I personally don’t think her being a BPD is as likely as the majority thinks.

She lacks the most important element which is fear of abandonment of which she has none. Anisa has been consistent in dropping people as soon as it’s convenient. She loves to monkey branch and drop people in a whim. That’s not BPD’s M.O

If anything I lean with Anissa being a narcissist. BPD would be the second most likely explanation.
