I agree entirely, and there's more to be said. Ian was never funny. Humor will always be subjective, but I cannot fucking fathom why he got such a huge fanbase. I was a big Filthy Frank fan when he was popular, and Ethan and Ian were always the worst part of his videos. And the videos Ian made on his own have always been shockingly unfunny to me. Seriously consider the highlights of his comedic career for a second. "I'm gay!". "I have osteoporosis!". "Keemstar is a gnome!". It was always the absolute worst type of tryhard wacky humor to me. The only intentionally funny thing Ian has ever said or done in my eyes was yelling a slur at Tana's retarded event. But even then, this isn't funny because of Ian's wit or his ability to write a joke. It's just funny because he made a spectacle of a gay e-celeb meetup. His only successful "joke" could've been pulled off by a greased pig, and i would've found the pig's antics far more amusing tbh.

As for fans? I still think he picked easy targets. Jinx? No fanbase to speak of. Tana might as well live in another world; their fans didn't overlap at all, especially considering this video was made because Anisa was/is jealous of Tana. Ricegum and Keemstar? It was popular to hate them by everyone, and I didn't see their fans making much of an impact defending them. Leafy might have had a big fanbase, but his fans liked to make fun of kids, so they had no issue turning on and betraying him.

Big audience doesn't equal people willing to support you.
