You can make the assumption but nothing of what we've seen indicates that. We don't know these people, they might have had interventions upon interventions of trying to get Ian to dump Anisa for good, but from what they've shown us, it appears to be the opposite, at least when it comes to Ethan and Hila. They're of the opinion that "it's incel rhetoric to say Anisa has had any negative impact on Ian", so I really doubt either of them ever told Ian he was being an idiot. Not that it matters (and not that they were in charge of tard-wrangling Ian, they're not his parents), because even if all of Ian's friends had told him to get rid of Anisa, he most likely wouldn't have listened after the Onlyfans thing happened, because that's just how these relationships work; you cannot pry someone away from an abusive partner, they have to be the ones to seek out help, not to mention that Ian at one point became way too stubborn to take advice from anyone. I'm aware of all this, it's just frustrating to me, because I've been obsessively following their saga for quite some time and nothing of what I've seen indicates that he ever had anyone tell him the truth, at least not when it would have mattered. Maybe good old Max did at some point, he seems like the type, but of course there's no way to know.
