Little boys do sometimes sit down in a girly kind of a way. That, I assume, is because they're still very young and sometimes copy their mothers' posture. Reminds me of how furries treat skunks and snakes. Can't even have a SFW skunk or snake character without someone assuming you have a vore or fart fetish. Feels bad for the ones who just want to make a normal character and not a fetish fuel one.

I joined a local based online group for a nerd pastime I thought I might like to pursue and it is full of troons, two of whom have a username referencing rats. Very strange. Both m2fs afaict. (There's also another one who is apparently into "bones.")

I will not be pursuing this pastime, at least not with this group. It would not be enjoyable for them or for me.
 
I assume the rat love is because many are autistic, and a lot of autistics like rats. The pet ones are cute, you can build things for them, you don't have to take them outside and instead observe their own little homes, they don't make much noise, and they're misunderstood like autists themselves. They represent pluckiness and cleverness in spite of their bad reputation for spreading disease. If a rat autist wants to elaborate, go for it.
