My mum would just take me into the women's bathroom when I was little. I don't think any woman ever complained, after all why would you complain about a small child? I'll agree re: disabled people though.
 
Regarding the whole gatekeeping post earlier. Anyone notice if you try to talk any of this with tuned out normies, they tend to assume all of the old school screening where you had to live stealth unbutchered/unmedicated and pass a battery of psyche screening for ages before even being considered for approval when it comes to HRT/surgery is still the standard?

I've noticed that if you try and explain what has been going on lately, that it's basically self serve now (varies depending on jurisdiction but still, it's an obvious shift/problem) you end up looking like a raving lunatic? If you try and show them proof, they have already shut down on you and if you push you're weird for even digging that deep? It feels like the cognizant dissonance gets more impenetrable every day, even with the recent pendulum swing going on.

They bleat about trans-“misogyny”, but trans-hypocrisy is much more in evidence as a phenomenon.

So called “transmisogyny” is largely people being wary of people with mental issues who are trans combined with men or women not wanting to date people they don’t find attractive and males seeking to access female spaces.

I have said before about how they obviously don’t understand that while they might look more masculine or feminine after taking hormones to themselves and anyone who knows them well enough to see a difference, but what kind of self perception must they have to think that they look “better”?

Granted normal humans also can suffer a bit from this, e.g. far too much lip filler and excessive fake tan combined with over bleached and damaged hair, or roiding to the point of hideous, yet they think they look like models and titans.

I suppose in both cases it is a case of a fucked self esteem combined with a “hug box”?

I (mtf 30, hrt 3yrs) have been noticing a general trend, I don't pass, but all my friends say I do. My trans friends, my cis friends, they all tell me they see a woman when they look at me, friends who met me after I started transitioning tell me they've always seen me as a woman, but I know I do not pass because whenever I meet someone new they never gender me correctly and always call me sir, or refer to me as a man.

So it's got me thinking, are all of my friends lying to me in order to make me feel better (hugboxing) or do supportive people just see me different and see me as a woman because they believe trans women are real women?

It's bugged me for quite some time, I've mentioned it to my friends and it's always the same explanation. They always tell me I pass fine and people are just assholes, yet like maybe 1 in 50 strangers I meet gender me correctly. 😭

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and I'd like to hear your perspectives.
