also, even if it's back, my main worry is escapes ig. boats are way faster now than in the 1930's and so, you could attempt a escape and have a speedboat waiting

i hope he goes more apeshit with his EOs because it exposes exactly how many things are funded and run directly by the federal government, and how much control the president actually has over the country. future presidents, both left and right, will be judged on the amount they're able to affect things the same way Trump did. and if presidents are expected to actually run the country then unpopular decisions they make will be tied directly to them instead of "independent" agencies that everyone in government has been hiding behind for decades

I’m not talking about CA as a whole, just specifically Hollywood. Which has pushed film production out of the country because of union regulations. You can pay people less and don’t have to worry about mandated breaks and safety checks when you produce your show or film in another country. The Hollywood unions only cover American workers. This is a very real phenomenon that ramped up after the last two strikes

The admin literally stated that it is 70% cheaper to pay them to leave vs the costs of ICE deporting them. Carrot and stick, there is only so much personnel. Sweden already was ahead of the curb with stuff like this.
 
The local Chinese restaurant is doing good. Went there today. We laughed about China and talked about our home towns which were similar.

Those guys are great.

It's not about Hollywood or even movies. It's about moving production back into the US.

What if we build a bunch of those "sustainable ocean settlements" the Utopianists are always trying to sell us on and test out how it would go with a prison population?
