True. What I said was a best case scenario. At best (realistically), Ethan will not talk about him again. Imo, if Ethan were to "reconcile", it would be to use Ian. That is, assuming Ian apologizes fast enough. A year is too much time. Still, in all likelihood, Ian will realize that the friendship run its course and not bother with an apology no matter how bad CC3 does. I do assume that, if Hasan asked him to make the Content Cop as we assume, his "budding friendship" might sour. 1. They must PROACTIVELY offer refunds to everyone. That means they cannot bury their heads in the sand and wait for people to request refunds. They now have a duty to reach out to all ticketholders and tell them they can get refunds and how.
2. Anyone who bought tickets and doesn't claim the offered refund in the first 30 days following the event will have their money sent to the Florida Athletic Commission, and NOT to Anisa and Ian or anyone involved with Creator Clash 3, where it will be held for a year while ticketholders can request a refund.
3. After that 1 year holding period, Anisa and Ian STILL don't get any of the money. Full stop. It goes to the Florida CFO and the General Revenue Fund.
4. If they fail to follow this process, they can be penalized, have their promoter license revoked, and lose the security bond they put up to allow them to promote the event in the first place.
5. Under no circumstances are they entitled to ANY of that money now. Not even if they find a replacement.

Of course, there could be some caveat or case law where this statute doesn't apply to them, but as it's written here, they are ruined. They cannot recoup the costs involved in hosting the event with any ticket sales now. This is so far beyond fucked that it's Lolcow of the Year territory.

Okay, also coming in with a layman’s understanding but I’d assume…

1. “unclaimed ticket receipts” would be tickets that were purchased but weren’t (a) refunded already or (b) claimed by attending the event. So essentially people who bought a ticket and didn’t refund it wihtin that 30-day period but also didn’t go for whatever reason.

2. “Chief Financial Officer” means the CFO for the event and “General Revenue Fund” just means the fund for the event. So they do get the money back after the 1-year period.

So it wouldn’t be that severe, but it could mean they lose some percentage of the funds for about 13 months.
