I grew out of the youtube dramasphere ages ago so I'm not 100% on everything that's happened, but the general impression I get from Ian's conduct in the Content Cop video is that it feels like he hasn't moved on at all.

He wants to go back to 2016 where everyone is super edgy all the time and videos where you talk shit about someone's channel and Twitter posts with CS:GO surf gameplay in the background are still in vogue. He wants the clout and millions of views from talking about Keemstar or the latest "youtube lolcow."

But everyone else has moved on and that sort of thing isn't popular anymore. He's so desperate for Cawntent of that sort that he decides to attack one of his oldest friends in an hour-long chimpout like some kind of last-ditch Hail Mary for relevancy. Except it's not about Twitter posts or bad videos anymore, it's about people trying to get Klein's kids taken away over actual blood libel for the sake of CAWNNNNTENNNTTT. So now it just comes off as tone-deaf and narcissistic; the last desperate gasp of a manchild who's suffered from his inability to meaningfully adapt.

IMO This response from Ethan was completely warranted, and was quick and to the point.
