Holy fucking shit. It's so much worse than I thought . I have been slowly going through the H3 streams over the past couple of days, so I already had an idea that a lot of stuff was taken out of context, but to use clips of the stream where they're talking about CPS getting called on them, never show the title, and try to characterise it as Ethan just "hAraSsIng pEOpLE" for no reason is far more deliberate than I initially thought.

The video itself succeeds in every conceivable way where the Content Cop failed. Ethan focuses on one big issue which was Ian not mentioning the CPS call, and he's clear about that straight away. He also talks about how Ian never mentions Bad Empanada who seems to be the worst out of the bunch and who takes credit for calling CPS. He manages to keep this video at 16 minutes of run time and still manages to show full-length clips to provide context, something Ian was incapable of doing in his hour-long video. Most importantly, even with such a serious topic, Ethan still manages to put actual jokes in the video and be funny. Incredible.

The best part is that for most of the video Ethan didn't need to say anything. The clips speak for themselves. Overlaying the title of the stream while Ian talking about Ethan crashing out in the first 2 minutes of the video is already total victory

Other funny tidbits that I liked include Ethan putting "lol" in the default Sony Vegas font when Ian is talking about rekindling the friendship. Says it all:

The skulls are wild & news to me. Human skulls are NOT easy to get, they're only explicitly illegal in three states(LA, GA, TN) but they're a limited item that's not ethically trafficked by most storefronts or vendors. I've heard true crime podcasters complain about how they want a generic one, but they're hard to get. As a road show/flea market enjoyer, I've never seen them for purchase in the wild. Getting one then mailing them is a clear fucking threat.

As far as the Content Cop, imagine you're friends with someone famous, they start to catch negative publicity and you're too fucking chicken to just tweet "I've been to their house, it's clean and there isn't dogshit on the floor." Instead you film an hour-long hit piece with the people who called CPS on him, and then blame the conflict in Israel half a world away that you have ZERO connection to as to why you couldn't tweet HOUSE CLEAN for a friend.
